Laser Therapy |
Shenandoah Veterinary Hospital is pleased to announce a new non-invasive treatment option for pain management and orthopedic/soft tissue injuries. We have recently added the K-Laser Class IV Therapy Laser to our list of progressive therapy modalities. This laser emits energy which activates the healing and regenerative properties of cells, leading to faster healing from injuries and relief from arthritis, inflammation, sprains and strains and many other medical concerns, including, but not limited to hip dysplasia, tendonitis, fractures, acute and chronic intervertebral disc disease, post-surgical incisions, lick granulomas, stomatitis, cystitis, hot spots, etc.
A treatment only takes 3-8 minutes per site, and many animals find the process very similar to a gentle massage. The initial recommended treatment protocol is 6 treatments over a 3 week period. The positive effects of the laser treatment can then be maintained with 1 treatment every 3 weeks to 3 months.
The K-Laser is being used in the very best veterinary clinics across the country. We are very pleased to offer the latest laser therapy technology to our patients with the K-Laser
